The Twitchen Vibes formed at Eastern College in St. David’s, PA and existed from approximately 1988-1994. Christine was part of the lineup from 1990-1992 and can be heard on the group's first album “Fill in the ___," which features three of Christine's songs (“Innocence,” “Into Your Love,” and “Do As They Say"). The group played many shows in the mainline area and had some airplay on local radio.

Christine's time at Eastern College also introduced her to the band After Eleven, which featured Bill Gallagher on bass. After moving on to pursue her solo career, Christine would cross paths with Bill again and invite him to perform with Christine Havrilla & Gypsy Fuzz.

Barnwood Rose (1991-1993)

Members:

Christine Havrilla (vocals, guitar)
Marc Hamer (drums, backing vocals)
Ton Lancenese (bass, backing vocals)

Barnwood Rose formed in the spring of 1991 after drummer Marc Hamer saw Christine perform at Cooz’s Corner in Wayne, PA. With the addition of Tony Lancenese on bass, the three discovered a musical, personal, and spiritual chemistry that could only be summed up by Tony as "Neo Funkadelic Twang Rock." The band worked diligently throughout the spring and summer of ’91 to arrange and rehearse songs that Christine had written.

By August of ’91 they had their first gig at the West Chester Cabaret, and in September of ’91 they recorded their first demo. Many performances in and around the Philadelphia region followed, including the 23 East and Ambler Cabarets, Kyber Pass, and the Tin Angel.

In June of 1992, a cable access TV show based in Reading, Pa called “The Paisley Couch” approached the band and asked if they’d be interested in creating a music video for their show. A month later, “The Barn Song” video was completed - appropriately filmed in the hills of Lancaster County, Pa.

Barnwood Rose continued to play their ‘Neo Funkadelic Twang Rock’ in various venues throughout the summer and fall of ’92 and parted ways in early 1993. In 1995, Christine and Marc joined up once again to record Christine’s first solo album and went on to play several dates together in and around Philadelphia until September of ’96.

3 Stories High (2000-2002)

Members:

Kelly Ricketts (guitar, vocals)
Rosann Mattei (guitar)
Christine Havrilla (bass, vocals)
Christine Moll (drums, vocals)

3 Stories High was the brainchild of Christine Havrilla in 2000. "I had this idea in my head for the past two years to play music with some talented women," she said. "Now it's happening because of the right people coming my way." Countless threads connected these four women. Havrilla played bass on Moll's first solo album, Moll sang harmonies on Havrilla's first CD, Ricketts opened for Havrilla several times, and Mattei's former bands were on several joint bills with Havrilla.

The quartet hit the ground running in their first six months - playing to 8,000 people at Musikfest as headliners and racking up performances at the Baltimore
Book Festival, Philadelphia's AIDS Walk, Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, and Central Park in New York City. They were listed as one of “5 Acts to Watch in 2001” in Out & About magazine and received support from 88.5 WXPN, contributing to the growth of their fan base.

Over the years, 3 Stories High delighted their fans with several reunion shows in PA, DE, and NJ, including performances at World Cafe Live, John & Peter's, the Rockford Tavern, and the Kennett Flash.
